These new features are the first of several we will release this year to give the chef community new ways to interact with each other and with Opscode. We’ve expanded the site at cookbooks.opscode.com into community.opscode.com, and added the following:
* Questions – A new question and answer forum for chef users to discuss chef, Opscode, and anything else they’d like to bring up. Opscode folks will actively participate too, so feel free to pose questions for us as well!
* Users – A better interface for browsing and searching for Opscode community members. You can now search for users by first and last name, and your profile pages show more information about what you’ve been up to on the community site.
* Ideas – A place for community members to give feedback to Opscode on chef, the community site, and anything else we do. Community members can comment on ideas to have a discussion about them, and ideas that we agree with will get marked as “accepted”, and then marked as “completed” when we’ve delivered on the idea.
We hope these new features will be useful. If we’re doing it wrong, let us know by posting a new idea!
